EXP filter housing cartridges (10, 5 and 1 micron), absolute cartridges (1 and 0.45 micron) and activated carbon cartridges for the high-pressure pump feed water.
How to choose
- Use staged filtration, from coarse to fine.
- Recommended sequence: filter housing 10 → 5 → 1 micron (activated carbon when the water is chlorinated); pump 1 micron → 0.45 micron. Replace by differential pressure, not by the calendar.
Frequently asked questions
Which abrasive mesh should I use for waterjet cutting?
Mesh 80 is the most common: it balances cutting speed and edge finish on most metals and stone. Mesh 120 has a finer grain, for better edge quality and thin parts, with slightly slower cutting.
When should I replace the mixing tube?
When the tube bore wears, the jet widens, the kerf grows and the cut loses accuracy. Measure the exit bore periodically and replace the tube once it exceeds your process tolerance to avoid rework.
Why filter the pump feed water?
Particles in the feed water wear seals, valves and the ruby orifice. Staged filtration (5 µm, 1 µm and 0.45 µm, with activated carbon when needed) extends the life of high-pressure components.
